Who We Are
BeatingSkinCancer.com is written and medically overseen by Dr. Steven Q. Wang, a board-certified dermatologist with decades of experience diagnosing and treating melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. Every page on this site is grounded in his clinical experience and published research, translated into practical, human-centered guidance.

Dr. Wang spent 16 years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he led the Dermatology Section in New Jersey, and is a co-founder of the Nanodermatology Society, past president of the Photomedicine Society, and currently serving as the Chair of the Photobiology Committee at the Skin Cancer Foundation. He has authored 6 books and published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles on the detection, treatment, and prevention of melanoma and skin cancer.
